Fiscal Note Nebraska Legislative Bill 561 Of 2013 To Change Provisions & Transfer Responsibilities Regarding The Juvenile Justice System

May 28, 2013
The fiscal note estimates the costs of the changes proposed by Legislative Bill 561, which makes changes to the juvenile justice system. The total expenditures are projected to be about $5.9 million for fiscal year 2014, and $8.6 million for fiscal year 2015. The transfer of cases and funding from the Office of Juvenile Services to the Juvenile Service Delivery Project will reduce costs in the Department of Health and Human Services and increase costs in the Supreme Court.
