Alabama Senate Bill 431 To Create Medicaid Managed Long-Term Care
On May 28, 2015, the Alabama legislature passed Senate Bill (SB) 431 to launch integrated care networks (ICNs) for Medicaid long-term services and supports (MLTSS) by October 1, 2018. The legislation calls for the Alabama Medicaid department to contract with a regional care organization (RCO) or alternate care provider organization on an at-risk basis to provide the ICN services.
