Nebraska Legislative Bill 561 makes changes in the juvenile justice system, including narrowing the responsibilities of the Office of Juvenile Services to only the Youth Rehabilitation Center at Kearney and Geneva; expanding the Nebraska Juvenile Service Delivery Project statewide in a three-phase transfer process; creating the Community-Based Juvenile Services Aid Program; and establishing new positions on both the Crime Commission and Jail Standards Board.
