Case Study: CIGNA-vielife in Second Life: Engaging & Interactive Health & Lifestyle Training for the Global Workforce
June 1, 2009 Linden Lab, developer of Second Life, a virtual, interactive community, released this case study about a pilot health care community launched by health insurer CIGNA in 2008. The community provides a nutrition program on an island branded GET: Go, Experience, Thrive. The results of the nutrition program are under review; CIGNA may explore a wider range of virtual world training programs in Second Life to address health issues such as sleep, stress, and fitness.
