PBHCI (Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration) Sustainability Checklist

In June 2013, the National Council for Community Behavioral Health Care released – through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) – a checklist of important elements for any clinical organization to consider in identifying what needs to change to support integration in their clinic. It can be used to identify the work that must be done to accomplish integration. Sustainability factors addressed include: environment, strategy, leadership, administrative and clinical policy, billing, technology, quality improvement, structure, skills, people, and rewards.
