May 2008 The legislation requires the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation to form a work group that will negotiate a compact between insurance carriers, which will include more coverage for therapy and behavior analysis and better information to consumers about which therapies are covered. In addition, the Agency for Health Care Administration is authorized to seek federal approval for Medicaid coverage of applied behavior analysis and other therapies for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
