On June 6, 2012, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare released an Human Services Block Grant update for counties with private or independent single county authorities. The update included information on how the block grant will impact private and independent single county authorities. The update stated that counties will be expected to pass the appropriate portion of the block grant payment to private or independent single county authorities.
