The Bureau of Labor Statistics has released a report on the characteristics of both unemployed and employed individuals. The report specifically looks at the number of individuals with disabilities compared to those without disabilities. The report found that In 2011, 17.8% of persons with a disability were employed. In contrast, the employment-population ratio for persons without a disability was 63.6%. The unemployment rate for persons with a disability was 15.0%.
