Medicare Benefit Policy Manual Chapter 6 – Hospital Services Covered Under Part B; Partial Hospitalization

Medicare will pay community mental health centers (CMHCs) a media per diem fee of $87.74 for Level I partial hospitalization program (PHP) services according to the proposed rule for calendar year 2013. Three services are included in the Level I rate. For CMHCs providing four or more PHP services the median Level II rate, is proposed at $111.89. These rates were set by Medicare in a 2013 benefit policy manual.
