In June 2013, the the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions released a PowerPoint presentation on jail populations, their characteristics, and insurance coverage Medicaid and private subsidized post-health care reform. Case studies are included for the Washington state Multnomah County Health Department and New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Case studies include information specific to their correctional services experience in linking mental health and primary care services inside and outside jail.
