Iowa Governor Veto Notes On House File 648 Of 2013, Includes Reason For Veto Of Mental Health Safety Net Funding

The Iowa governor’s letter to the Iowa Secretary of State vetoes certain notes on House File 648. The vetoes had to do with funding; and the governor provided reasons each veto. He vetoed additional finding for the risk pool. The governor said the risk pool funding was not necessary, not wanting to put tax dollars into programs with no state oversight, state funding not being needed after federal funds were restored, and that strategic plans and sustainable financing were not secure for projects.
