New York Overpaid Certain Medicaid Mental Health Services Providers
In June 2016, the New York Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General released this report regarding a review of a Medicaid-funded mental health programs in New York state. The objectives of this review were to determine whether the state made Comprehensive Outpatient Program Services and Community Support Program add-on payments to providers in excess of their annual thresholds (overpayments) for the period 2009 through 2012 and to ensure that the federal share of any overpayments made prior to 2009 was credited to the Federal Government.
