Washington’s Cost Effectiveness For Foster Care Child Support Cases Fiscal Year 2018
The document was released in June 2019 by the Washington State Office of Child Support Enforcement. The state analyzed its performance enforcing child support payments. Based on Washington’s OCSE-34A and OCSE-396A forms submitted for October 2017 to September 2018, Washington collected $4.21 for each dollar spent during fiscal year 2018. However, for foster care costs, for each dollar spent collecting payments from parents of children in out-of-home foster care, the state collected $0.39.
