Ready for 21st Century Success: The New Promise of Public Education in Massachusetts
June 25, 2008 This document lays out the vision, goals, and recommendations for education reform in Massachusetts as proposed by Governor Deval Patrick. The plan does not increase the number charter schools, but proposes Readiness Schools, to be converted from of existing schools and modeled after pilot schools. School districts would have more control over curriculum, the educational calendar, hiring decisions, and policies under the plan.
