New Mexico CYFD Kevin S. Corrective Action Plan Filed June 30, 2023

The New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department  (CYFD)  filed the corrective action plan on June 30, 2023, to amend the 2020 Kevin S. class action settlement. The corrective action plan has four interlocking tenets: expanding CYFD staff, enhancing training of foster parents, developing a trauma-informed behavioral health system, and strengthening collaboration with tribes and nations.
