On July 2, 2012, New Jersey Department of Human Serivces (DHS) and Department of Children and Families (DCF) sent a letter to stakeholders informing them of the transfer of responsibility for children with intellectual or developmental disabiliities (ID/DD) from DHS to DCF. The transition started on July 1 and will be completed by December 31, 2012. During the transition, DHS will continue to provide all services to children with ID/DD with two exceptions.
