On July 6, 2012, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) proposed changes to Medicare reimbursement during 2013 for family practice physicians, home health provider organizations, and for hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers providing outpatient care. The proposed rule also includes a proposal to include additional Medicare-covered preventive services on the list of services that can be provided via an interactive telecommunications system.
