Medicare Proposed Rule CY 2015 Home Health Prospective Payment System Rate Update; Home Health Quality Reporting Requirements; and Survey and Enforcement Requirements for Home Health Agencies

In this proposed rule for the Medicare home health benefit during calendar year 2015, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced  pending changes to Medicare home health services. The changes include a proposed 2.2%decrease to  home health payment; and rebasing adjustments to the national, standardized 60-day episode payment rate, the national per-visit payment rates, and the non-routine medical supplies conversion factor. CMS also proposed changes to the face-to-face requirement.  CMS will accept comments on the proposed rule through September 2, 2014. The final rule will be released toward the end . . .
