On July 7, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published this proposed rule relating to Medicare and Medicaid home health payment and home health value-based purchasing model requirements and proposed model expansion. The rule also proposes to increase Medicare payments to home health agencies by 1.7% in 2021, makes changes to the formal home health Conditions of Participation (CoPs), and offers insight into CMS’s plans for future Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) adjustments.
