TennCare Response To CMS Regarding Critique Of Medicaid & CHIP Enrollment
In this letter dated July 14, 2014, the Tennessee Medicaid agency, TennCare responded to concerns noted by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on June 27, 2014. CMS had informed state officials that TennCare had not met six of seven Medicaid access factors required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). CMS formally requested that within 10 days TennCare provide a detailed description of how and when the state will achieve compliance with requirements of the streamlined eligibility and enrollment process.
