The Bureau of Justice Statistics within the federal Department of Justice presented data on immigration violations and offenses in 2010. The report statistics inlude apprehension, arrests, prosecution, court involvement, corrections, and supervision. For many illegal immigrants, their only crime is entering the United States without proper documentation and once in the United States driving without a license. In 2010, there were 516,992 apprehensions.
