New Jersey Drug Court Program Law

On July 19, 2012, Governor Chris Christie signed a law requiring drug treatment for low-level offenders who otherwise would serve prison terms. The new approach will launch with pilot drug courts in three counties. Later the state will start requiring all low-level drug offenders to participate.
