Arkansas DBHS Rehabilitation Services for Persons With Mental Illness: Provider Certification Rules

June 1, 2008 The Arkansas Division of Behavioral Health Services (DBHS) instituted a rule that mental heath rehabilitation service providers must ensure family involvement and cultural competency to gain DBHS certification. DBHS certification is required before the Arkansas Division of Medical Services (DMS) will establish a Medicaid provider number. The rule applies to sites where Rehabilitative Services for Persons with Mental Illness (RSPMI) are provided.
