On July 22, 2022, the Michigan Task Force On Juvenile Justice Reform published this recommendations report. The task force was charged with studying the juvenile justice system and developing data-driven recommendations for statewide reform. The task force’s 32 recommendations address the system structure and funding priorities, diversion, court processing, out-of-home placement, data collection, and equity.
