The federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and state Medicaid officials have implemented a six-month moratorium on approving new home health provider organizations applications to participate in Medicare and/or Medicaid through practice locations in Florida and Illinois. The CMS contractor for the region and the state Medicaid agency will deny all new or pending applications for participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or the federal ChildrenÂ’s Health Insurance Program.
