Missouri Serious Mental Illness Section 1115 Demonstration

On July 28, 2022, the Missouri Department of Social Services published this document describing the state's serious mental illness (SMI) Section 1115 demonstration waiver. The waiver would reimburse for acute inpatient stays in institutions for mental disease for Medicaid enrollees aged 21 to 64 who are diagnosed with a SMI. Additionally, the State seeks authority to reimburse Qualified Residential Treatment Programs that are determined to meet the definition of an IMD . . .
