On July 31, 2024, the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services published this Section 1115 Building and Transforming Coverage, Services, and Supports for a Healthier Virginia (BTCSSHV) demonstration extension application. The five-year extension request seeks to cover addiction disorder treatment services to individuals who are short-term residents in residential treatment facilities that meet the definition for an institution of mental disease (IMD).
