In August 2012, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Commonwealth/State/MassHealth) established a Federal-State partnership to implement the demonstration to integrate care for dual eligible individuals. The Federal-State partnership will include a three-way contract with participating plans and other qualified entities that will provide integrated benefits to Medicare-Medicaid enrollees in the targeted geographic area(s).
