Covered California Health Insurance Companies & Plan Rates For 2014

On August 7, 2013, Covered California, the state’s Health Insurance Marketplace announced that 12 insurance companies signed contracts to participate in the marketplace as Qualified Health Plans. A 13th company, Ventura County Health Care Plan, that had been tentatively selected to participate, opted out of the exchange. Six of the 12 companies will offer plans through the exchange’s Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP).
