Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare Notice Of Amendment to Medicaid Sate Plan For Children With Disabilities

The Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare announced plans to implement a state plan amendment for a copayment requirement and means testing for families whose children receive Medicaid services because they are catagorically eligible for Medicid due to a disability. The notice describes the plan and the affected services. The state had planned to implement the copayment requirement as of October 1, 2012, but on October 5, announced a delay to address concerns noted by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
