The Agency for Health Research and Quality has released an innovations profile on Healthy Linkages. Healthy Linkages leverages information technology to formalize referral relationships between the University of Mississippi Medical Center and community-based clinics. The community-based clinics serve uninsured and underinsured patients. Through this formalized referral relationship, Healthy Linkages has enhanced access and reduced inappropriate emergency department visits.
