The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) sought a vendor to provide statewide assessment services for Medicaid Personal Care Services (PCS), under the states recently approved amendment that aligns the eligibility level for community-based PCS with the level of care requirements for adult residential facilities, starting January 1, 2013. PCS is a health assistance program for individuals who, because of a physical or cognitive disability, are unable to accomplish tasks they would ordinarily do for themselves if they did not have a disability.
