Results from the 2011 National Survey on Drug Use and Health: Summary of National Findings
In September 2012, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) issued its report based on information from the the 2011 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) annual survey. The survey is the primary source of information on the use of illicit drugs, alcohol, and tobacco in the civilian, noninstitutionalized population of the United States aged 12 years old or older. Approximately 67,500 persons are interviewed in NSDUH each year.
