Results from the 2011 National Survey on Drug Use and Health: Summary of National Findings

In September 2012, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) issued its report based on information from the the 2011 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) annual survey. The survey is the primary source of information on the use of illicit drugs, alcohol, and tobacco in the civilian, noninstitutionalized population of the United States aged 12 years old or older. Approximately 67,500 persons are interviewed in NSDUH each year. The report and detailed tables focus on trends between 2010 and 2011 and from 2002 to 2011, as well as differences across population subgroups in 2011 . . .
