In September 2013, the Administration on Children, Youth and Families (ACYF) Office of Data, Analysis, Research, and Evaluation released Data Brief 2013-1 addressing trends in foster care. The report uses data from the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS) to summarize those changes and provide new detail that identifies the geographic areas most responsible for these national trends.
