California Senate Bill 126 Of 2013 Health Care Coverage: Pervasive Developmental Disorder Or Autism

California Senate Bill 126 of 2013 will extend an state health benefit mandate that requires health plans and health insurance policies to cover behavioral health treatment for pervasive developmental disorder or autism (PDD/A) and requires plans and insurers to maintain adequate networks of PDD/A service providers. It would extend the mandate until January 1, 2017. The legislature passed the bill, and sent it to the governor on September 6, 2013.
