Use and Expenses for Prescribed Psychotherapeutics, by Subclass, 2009: Estimates for the U.S. Civilian Noninstitutionalized Population

In September 2012, the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality released a statistical brief regarding prescription psychotherapeutics. The brief described the use and expenses of prescription psychotherapeutics for noninstitutitionalized individuals in 2009. In 2009, about 29.4 million noninstititutionalized people had expenses for at least one prescription psychotherapeutic.
