Preliminary Injunction In Alex v. Edwards, Relating To Youth In Custody Of The Louisiana Office Of Juvenile Justice

The preliminary injunction was issued on September 14, 2023. It directs the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) to remove youth in its custody from the West Feliciana Center for Youth, a unit created at the former death row at the Louisiana State Penitentiary, a large adult maximum-security prison (also called Angola).
