The TEDS Report: Frequency of Use Among Alcohol-Only Treatment Admissions: 2006
July 31, 2008 In 2006, about 2% of Americans used alcohol on a daily or nearly daily basis, according to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health conducted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. This report focuses on the 394,000 alcohol-only treatment admissions to the Treatment Episode Data Set in 2006, in order to explore the possible correlates of frequency of alcohol use without the potentially confounding effects of additional substances of abuse.
