Healthy Pennsylvania Concept Paper

On September 16, 2013, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett released Healthy Pennsylvania, a proposal to implement reforms to the current Medicaid program and expand Medicaid eligibility to uninsured low-income adults. The reforms include a private option plan with a work search requirement. Through the Healthy Pennsylvania proposal and Medicaid reforms, the goal is to increase children’s access to health coverage, promote access to primary health care, and create a coordinated long-term care and support system for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
