Commission On Long-Term Care: Report To Congress

In September 2013, the Commission on Long-Term Care issued a pre-publication version of its final report to Congress. The Commission is statutorily charged with addressing the challenges of delivering and financing long term services and supports (LTSS) for both older and younger people with significant cognitive or physical functional limitations.
Working on a bipartisan basis, the Commission adopted 28 specific public policy recommendations in service delivery, workforce, and financing aimed at transforming systems of care to best meet peopleÂ’s needs while appreciating todayÂ’s fiscal realities.
