In September 2012, the Office of the Inspector General released a report on South Carolina claiming unallowable room-and-board costs under the intellectual and related disabilities waiver. The report included a detailed explaination of the reimbursement methodology and the cost reporting process. The report stated that South Carolina claimed over $6 million in unallowable room-and-board costs.
