The legislation was signed on September 27, 2018. It requires transparency about the financial relationships between sober living homes and California-licensed treatment centers. These relationships must be publicly disclosed. Centersand sober homes must draft plans for what to do when residents relapse, including how to provide supervision of those residents under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
