Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act; Updating Payment Parameters, Section 1332 Waiver Implementing Regulations, & Improving Health Insurance Markets For 2022 & Beyond

The final rule was released by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on September 27, 2021. It went into effect on November 26, 2021. It describes additional policies for health insurance issuers and the Health Insurance Marketplaces for plan years 2022 and beyond. In the rule, CMS adopted a series of additional policies to protect and expand access to health insurance coverage through the exchanges.
