Vermont Presentation All-Payer ACO Model

In this presentation released September 28, 2016, the Vermont Green Mountain Care Board explained the state's plans to launch an all-payer accountable care organization (ACO) model in January 2017.  The model will involve Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health payers. Each payer will use the same payment structure for the majority of provider organizations throughout the state’s care delivery system. The goal is to incentivize value and quality, with a focus on health outcomes.
