CMS Partial Approval Of New Jersey American Rescue Plan Act Home-And Community-Based Spending Plan
On September 29, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) partially approved the New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS) plans for using additional Medicaid matching funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to bolster the state's Medicaid home-and community-based services (HCBS). The state plans to invest $634 million over the next three years to strengthen and expand NJ FamilyCare HCBS for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
