FDA Strategic Priorities 2014 – 2018
The U.S. Federal Food and Drug Administration has identified the improvement of health care and population health through the meaningful use of health information technology as part of its four-year strategic plan, “FDA Strategic Priorities,” released September 30, 2014. Other goals in the FDA plan include improving health care quality and patient safety; advancing the regulatory sciences to enhance food safety, improve product development, and support tobacco regulation; improve laboratory, surveillance, and epidemiological capacity; promote prevention and wellness across the lifespan; and reduce the occurrence of infectious diseases . . .
