California Assembly Bill 2376: Chemical Dependency Recovery Hospitals

On September 30, 2024, the California Legislative Counsel Bureau published this California Assembly Bill 2376 regarding chemical dependency recovery hospitals. Among other things, this bill expands the definition of “chemical dependency recovery services” to include medications for addiction treatment and medically supervised voluntary inpatient detoxification, but specifies that it does not include certain treatment of severe, potentially life-threatening, intoxication and withdrawal syndromes . . .
