On October 5, 2020, the Register of Ohio released this summary and financial analysis of Rule Number 5160-1-18 of the Ohio Administrative Code to finalize a temporary expansion of telehealth in the Medicaid program. The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) had temporarily expanded Medicaid coverage of telehealth services in March 2020, at the start of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency. With this new rule, ODM intended to make the temporary expansion permanent.
