The lawsuit was filed by 1840 Peter Cheeseman Road LLC, an affiliate of Recovery Centers of America against the Gloucester Township Planning Board after the board refused to approve the plaintiffs' plans for a residential addiction treatment facility on a site zoned for such a use. The plaintiffs allege that the planning board refusal was not based on any factor related to its jursidiction over zoning or land use, but instead was based on prejudice against people with addiction disorder . . .
