This document is a copy of a lawsuit filed on October 6, 2015 in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Camden Vicinage . The lawsuit was filed by 1840 Peter Cheeseman Road LLC, an affiliate of Recovery Centers of America against the Gloucester Township Planning Board after the board refused to approve the plaintiffs' plans for a residential addiction treatment facility on a site zoned for such a use. The plaintiffs allege that the board's refusal was based on stigma against people with addiction disorder, and that the refusal violates the federal Fair Housing Act . . .
